Yesterday we welcomed our new Kinders to our school. They had a lovely time becoming acquainted with the present group and also with our school. Each of the new Kinders have buddied up with one of our present Kinders and all had a great time.

Year 10 have now completed their School Certificate exams and the majority of them are now on Work Experience. This is a great opportunity for them to have a taste of the various positions that are available to them in the future.

The Secondary Exams will take place next Thursday and Friday. With a little over a week to go please encourage your secondary student to take some time out to do some extra study in preparation for these exams.

We are very excited to announce that our Connected Classroom is now up and running. This is a fantastic addition to our school and will serve as a wonderful learning and teaching tool for all our students.

The sausage sizzle will be held tomorrow Wednesday with the cost remaining at $1.50 for a sausage sandwich and $1.50 for a drink. Once again thankyou for supporting this event, all students at our school have benefited from the funds raised.

On Tuesday, 25th November our Year 8 will be sitting for the ESSA Test. As this is a state wide initiative it is most important that all students in Year 8 are present.

The Rock Central School has offered for the first time Vocational Education courses for Year 10 students in 2009.
Four student in Year 10 will access VET courses delivered at the Riverina Institute of TAFE. These include Automotive, Plumbing and Hairdressing. Students will gain industry recognised qualifications in these fields while completing their School Certificate.

On Friday our Year 9 students will be taking part in a Maths in Careers excursion to Wagga TAFE. At the conclusion of the session on careers and maths they will visit Wagga High School to see what they can look forward to in Year 11.
