Great news! The people are expected here today to commence the preparations for the installing of the soft fall for our new adventure playground. As a result we are asking that from now on no cars or trucks use Verdon Drive. The entrance will be closed off in the very near future.
Next Friday our Year 10 students are holding a “Come in Your Pyjamas Day”. All students are reminded that shoes must be worn not slippers. In order to participate students are asked to make a gold coin donation.
Once again we had some unwelcome visitors in the school grounds during the weekend. Although there was no damage done they left their mark by throwing eggs around. Once again I ask you to keep an eye on the school if you are passing.
Yesterday our Year7/8 Debating team travelled to Albury to debate against Albury High. Unfortunately our team did not win but they certainly did very well. Congratulations to the team which consisted of A. Evans, K. Isherwood T. Cowie and K. Fellows. K. Fellows filled in at the last minute when R. Heckenberg was unable to be here.
Congratulations to all who participated in the Bernie O’Connor Football/Netball Day last Friday and particular congratulations to the Junior A Netball team who won their division. This coming Thursday we are celebrating Book Week. As part of our celebrations we are holding a “dress up” day and parade at Thursdays assembly which will begin at 2:15pm. All students are encouraged to come dressed for the occasion and parents and friends are invited to the assembly.
